Kessler-Froch - Let's make it happen!

By Jack Price @PriceyJ97.

Mikkel Kessler Vs Carl Froch II... When does it need to happen? Now, before it's too late.

Both men seem to have got that one last wind in their long and exciting careers and they have both been extremely impressive in their most recent fights.

Back in May of this year Carl Froch resurrected his career with a devastating knockout victory over highly-rated Canada-based Romanian Lucian Bute. He then continued the trend with a 3rd round KO against Philadelphian contender Yusaf Mack on November 17th. These two performances got 'Cobra' fans asking for a rematch with former foe Mikkel Kessler in Nottingham next year. After two emphatic victories like this, some people even started to claim that this fight would be a walk in the park for Carl Froch the second time around. But Kessler sent his own message out to these people last night when he took on Brian Magee in Denmark.

"The Viking Warrior" didn't put a foot wrong in the short time that the fight lasted. He just had too much too offer for his over-matched opponent. The 33-year old dropped Magee with a sickening right hand to the body early in the second round and then finished him just 20 seconds into the 3rd. This impressive victory provided cemented proof that the Dane does still have what it takes to compete at the highest level.

You will not find anybody out there who does not want to see this rematch take place. The fighters want it, the promoters want it, and the fans definitely want it! Its just about agreeing negotiations for the fight because both men, despite being desperate for the fight to take place, will believe that they deserve to have the fight in their home country

Froch has never lost in Britain, Kessler has never lost in Denmark and in a 50/50 fight, little things like this will mean a lot to both men. I do believe that Eddie Hearn can convince Kessler and his team to come to the UK and if it does, get ready to buy tickets, because this fight will sell out instantly. Froch is the British fan favourite and could sell out a stadium against any opponent and Kessler will look to bring half of Denmark over with him so its gonna be tough to find a venue big enough to stage this fight. But I have full confidence that Eddie Hearn will be able to pull out the stops.

I may be a little bias, but if this fight happens I will have to pick Froch to get the victory. He's looked unstoppable in his recent performances and has even broken into most people's top 10 P4P lists. If he does beat Kessler then we can expect to see him take on Ward at the end of next year. I still can't say he has what it takes to beat Ward but if he continues in the way he has been going it will be tough to back against 'The Cobra.'
