The action dies down a little this week after an action-packed weekend of boxing last week, but there's still one big fight to look forward to; Mikey Garcia Vs Juan Manuel Lopez. Garcia puts his WBO featherweight title on the line against an experienced former world champion in Lopez.
Garcia (31-0, 26 KO's) is emerging as one of the brightest young talents in the world today, his most notable victory being the recent one-sided disposal of ring veteran Orlando Salido, a fight that Garcia looked impeccable in. He now takes on a guy who has actually lost to Salido, twice, but also a man who is still very dangerous in Lopez (33-2, 30 KO's).

So as you can see, as expected Garcia enters this fight as the big favorite, with only 16% predicting a Lopez win. But it must be noted that every single person who has picked the experienced 29-year old to win, believes it will be by KO - highlighting his devastating power, but also that this may be the only way he can win. It is very unlikely that Lopez will be able to out-work and out-box the technically gifted Garcia. His one chance is his power, to catch Garcia cold early on. Unlikely again, but it can happen to anyone.
When looking at the stats you can see that almost everyone believes this fight will not go the distance as both men have a lot of power in their punch. I however am going to predict a unanimous decision points win for Mikey Garcia. I can see Lopez touching the canvas maybe once or twice late on but getting up and just surviving to the final bell. I expect Garcia to out-class his older opponent the entire way, barely losing a round. If there is a stoppage, I think it will be Garcia in the later rounds having beaten the life out of Lopez for the first half of the fight.
