Peter Quillin talks Golovkin and Martinez...

Newly-crowned middleweight world champion and fast-rising prospect Peter Quillin is looking to take on the best of the best in his weight division. Another man who is shooting up the ranks is Gennady Golovkin. Quillin spoke about a potential fight with "GGG" on The Boxing Lab radio show.

"Its a mega fight. He's got some qualities about himself that make people consider him murderous. He's got over 400 amateur fights, he's supposed to look the way he looks right now. If that fight is going to be made its going to be made regardless of who's behind it because its a fight people want to see and its a fight Kid Chocolate is of course willing to take because how can you call yourself the best if you're not willing to fight the best," said Quillin.

Quillin did say that the decision on who he fights next will most likely be down to his manager and advisor Al Haymon but his main target in the middleweight division is pound-for-pound contender Sergio Martinez.

"Besides Gennady you got Daniel Geale from Australia who's a unified champion and has the IBF and WBA championships and I just think that guys like that deserve credit too. You got guys like Sergio Martinez who's considered the best in the division so why even just look at the mediocre guys who are damn near in the same shoes as me."

"(Why) look past the one I really want which is Sergio Martinez who is considered arguably the pound-for-pound best. Everyone else I just trying to get to where he's at. When I fight him then I can get that status and then from there, I can choose and pick the fight that's the most important to me," said 'Kid Chocolate.'
