Dawson-Pascal rematch in the works!

According to reports, a fight between WBC light-heavyweight world champion Chad Dawson and former champ Jean Pascal is looking likely to be made. These two men have met in the ring before (August 14th 2010) when Pascal won via technical decision. Dawson started to come on strong later in the fight, but the bout was stopped due to a cut on Dawson's head, caused by an accidental head clash.

However, since this fight things have changed dramatically. Dawson has improved massively and has announced himself as the No.1 guy at light-heavyweight, whereas Pascal has been very inactive and in the one fight he did have he lost to 45-year old Bernard Hopkins. It is a rematch that has been discussed for a very long time and a big pay day for both men if it happens.

It would be a wise move for "Bad Chad" who is coming off of a devastating knockout defeat to pound-for-pound contender Andre Ward. Fortunately Dawson was able to keep his light-heavyweight title as the fight took place at super-middleweight, meaning he can continue his reign as the light-heavy king if he can back to top condition.
