Interview With Callum Johnson

You recently became a lot more well-known and popular after your fantastic first round stoppage over Tommy Tolan, Has that fight changed anything about you or your lifestyle?

NO I DON'T THINK THAT 1 FIGHT MEANS A GREAT DEAL TO BE HONEST IT WAS A GOOD WIN BUT NOTHING TO RAVE ABOUT.

How did it feel to be managed by somebody like Naseem Hamed?

IM NO LONGER MANAGED BY NAZ BUT I SUPPOSE IT WAS AN HONOUR TO WORK WITH A LEGEND LIKE NAZ

A question from one of our fans... Who was your boxing hero when you was an amateur?

AS A TEENAGER GROWING UP RICKY HATTON WAS MY HERO I LOVED TO WATCH HIM

You lost to Brian Rose in the amateurs back in 2002... Would you like to get revenge on him a few years down the line if you ever did end up in the same weight division?

NO NOT AT ALL THAT WAS YEARS AGO AND WE ARE MILES APART IN TERMS OF WEIGHT NOW ANYWAY

You have a pretty big Twitter following and you are becoming a big hit with the fans, Are you enjoying all of the attention?

I DON'T GET LOADS OF ATTENTION TO BE HONEST , BUT IT'S NICE TO HAVE FANS WANTING YOU TO DO WELL AND IT GIVES U THAT EXTRA DRIVE TO DO IT FOR THEM

What is it like to train at a gym as successful as Gallagher's gym?

IT'S A GREAT PLACE TO TRAIN FULL OF TALENT , THE LADS ARE THE BEST PEOPLE U COULD EVER MEET AS FRIENDS AND AS TRAINING PARTNERS IM REALLY HAPPY TO BE APART OF TEAM GALLAGHERS GYM

There are a lot of other up and coming boxers in Joe Gallagher's stable... Do you feel that he gives each individual as much attention and focus as they need?

YES WE ALL GET THE SAME TREATMENT AND WE WORK AS A TEAM ABIT LIKE AN AMATEUR CLUB

What are your aims and ambitions for the near future?

JUST TO KEEP WINNING AND LEARNING AND BUILD TOWARDS TITLES
