James 'Chunky' DeGale. |
This Saturday night Britain’s Southpaw Promoted
by Hennessey Sports James ‘Chunky’ Degale (27) who is 16-1 10Ko’s makes a quick
return to the ring Vs orthodox Slovenian Stjepan Bozic
(38) who is 32-6 17Ko’s, this fight is the 4th consecutive fight in
8 months for the 2008 British Beijing Gold Medalist. Since losing his British
Title Vs rival George Groves in 2011 James Degale has been a man on a mission
he won, defended than vacated his European 168lb title breaking his way into
the World Rankings and Winning the Vacant WBC Silver 168lb Super Middleweight
Title in late 2012 Vs Fulgencio Zuniga.
Stjepan Bozic. |
Chunky is making the 1st Defence
against Former WBF Champion Stjepan Bozic, his opponent is Slovenian born
residing in Croatia who’s most notable fights to date are defeats Vs Dmitiri
Sartison TKO in Round 6 (2009) and Arthur Abrahams TKO in Round 2 (2011) with Stejpan
injuring his hand. Very experienced and coming off 2 consecutive Knockout
Victories in 2012, Bozic seems to be competitive and suitable opponent for
Degale.
James Degale seems to have built up some
great Momentum going into Saturdays fight keeping busy and winning in style
leading to some including himself and his Promoter publicly saying they hope
Degale to be fighting against one of the elite 168lb Super Middleweight
Champions Carl Froch or America’s Andre Ward very soon, most likely
early-middle 2014. Expect to see a very sharp Degale on Saturday night who will
try to look very impressive vs Bozic who at 38 isn’t exactly a spring chicken
in the sport, regardless of age he still brings experience and durability to
the table making for a watchable fight James Degale is extremely talented who
seems too have matured drastically in recent months leading a few to believe he
is capable of big things in his career. If bozic can survive the early round
james could well be in for some rounds but if 100%, I would expect a victory
for Chunky.
PREDICTION 5TH ROUND TKO FOR
DEGALE
Britain's James DeGale believes he is ready to step-up a class and face Carl Froch later this year and that his style would give his decorated 12st world champion and compatriot "nightmares" if he can triumph against Stjepan Bozic, a Croatian who notched a win against Froch as an amateur, on Saturday.
