Saturday evening marks the 2nd professional fight of Zou Shiming China’s most successful & decorated amateur boxer ever, Shiming (32) with a record of 1-0 since turning professional on Chinese terrestrial tv with reported viewing figures in the 150+ million this highly decorated flyweight boxer achieved many great things as a amateur boxer representing his country proudly.

His medal collection range’s from – 2 Sillver’s at the Asian Championships, 2 Gold’s at the Asian Games, a Gold at the world University Championships, 3 Gold’s & 1 Silver at the World Amateur Boxing Championships, last but not least he won 2 Gold’s & 1 Bronze at at 3 Olympic games. His a national treasure in amateur boxing terms in his country he is boxing there is no other Chinese athlete who can compete popularity wise he is to china what floyd mayweather is to boxing his a superstar.

Considering his 32 years old & having his 2nd fight vs Mexican Jesus Ortega 3-1 2ko’s,Zou Shiming has the weight of the whole country on his shoulder’s his representing his nation, even if he is competing as a pro with no head guard & vest the expectations are huge with Top Rank promoting him and Bob Arum at the wheel steering the journey only time will tell what will come of the man from China who’s ability to collect gold medals at tournaments as a amateur were visible for many years to boxing fans, age against him but opposition in the flyweight division not terribly strong I imagine Zou Shiming will fight for a word title within in 10 fights it’s a case of low risk high reward fight’s for the man from china in a bid to put the icing on the cake of a boxing career which many dream of his boxing decorations seem endless but as we know the professional game isn’t as clear cut for many talented amateur boxer’s, in this fight I expect more high viewing figures & a zou shiming points victory, the journey has begun it’s now in the hand of time.
