This Saturday British Boxing fans are in for a treat as Scott Quigg
(24) 25-0-1 18ko’s makes his debut as a
Matchroom fighter VS Brazilian William Prado (29) 21-3-1 14ko’s after a 7 month
period of inactivity for the highly touted young man from Lancashire, Quigg is
coming into the ring on the back of his biggest win as a professional with a 6th
round stoppage win over former world title challenger Randell Munroe in which
Scott Quigg looked a fantastic young man with excellent boxing ability he also
beat notable domestic foes in Jason Booth in 2011 and Jamie Arthur in 2012.
Talks of a super fight with CarlFrampton looking so close now so far
considering the rivalry of the fighters promoters. Eddie Hearn Joe Gallagher
and Scott Quigg have made it clear there mind is set on getting a shot at the WBA
Super Bantemweight title and are currently number 1 contender in the WBA
rankings.
On Saturday vs Prado I think Quigg will be looking to get back out and
be active maybe get a few rounds one thing is for sure opponent Prado has no
notable wins and a very padded and questionable fight record I expect Quigg to
get some rounds under his belt before stopping Prado in 4-5 rounds if not
sooner, Its expected that Quigg will look good as he is levels above Prado but
his inactivity demands a tune up fight before looking at other options
regarding world title shots or domestic blockbuster showdown with arch rival Carl
Frampton. One thing what we do know is Scott Quigg is one of Britains biggest
talents and I expect him to go onto big things.
