What a weekend it has been for Adonis 'Superman' Stevenson. The Canadian 35-year old entered the biggest fight of his career as a heavy underdog against WBC light-heavyweight world champ and division No.1 'Bad' Chad Dawson on Saturday night. However, the lively power puncher did "bad" things to Dawson in Montreal, scoring a 1st round knock out victory and turning the light-heavyweight division on it's head. He now finds himself in an incredible position...
Not only is he now the holder of the WBC world title, arguably the most prestigous belt in boxing, he has defeated one of the most talented fighters in the world whilst doing so. So you can see why he has caused as a massive stir in the divisional and pound-for-pound rankings. Some may argue that Dwason was still recovering from the Andre Ward fight, but I don't think any credit should be taken away from Stevenson whether that is the case or not. He has still beaten an incredibly talented fighter.
So, here is where Adonis Stevenson now finds himself in our P4P and divisional rankings:

So when you consider that Stevenson wasn't even ranked in the top 50 pound-for-pound going into this fight and now he is ranked at No.28 above some very good fighters you can see what an incredible climb it is. He is now also ranked the No.1 at light-heavy after only one fight at the weight (he stepped up from super-middle to take this fight). Some may argue that Hopkins is the more talented fighter, and that is why he is ranked higher in the P4P list, but in division terms Adonis is the man to beat now at 175.
