He knew that if he was going to be considered as a world-level fighter once again his performance against Raul Casarez would have to be impressive, and that's exactly what it was!
The 30-year old came out fast and didn't give Casarez a chance to settle. With less than a minute gone, Angulo unleashed a long left hook and sent Casarez crashing to the canvas. The referee stopped the fight when the count was in 6 because it clear that the 26-year old was in no position to continue.
This was meant to be a test for Angulo, a chance to shake off the ring rust. But he proved that he wasn't interested in any of this. He just wanted to send a message to the rest of the light-middleweight division. And that's exactly what he did.
Its rumoured that there is a potential rematch between him and James Kirkland somewhere down the line. Judging by Angulo's actions before, after and during the fight, I'm sure he would take that fight tomorrow or any day of the week. Expect to see Angulo back in the ring very soon.
