Arum claims that Donaire-Arce is a done deal!

According to Top Rank's Bob Arum, Nonito Donaire will take on Jorge Arce at the Toyota Center in Houston on December 15th.

Donaire and Arce have attempted to negotiate for a fight on a number of occasions but the deal has always fallen through. It looked like this was going to happen again when Donaire claimed that Arce was asking for too much money. But now, after years of negotiating it seems like the fight is actually going to happen.

I, and I'm sure the rest of the boxing world are too, am happy that this fight is finally going to happen. Not because its an amazing fight that I'm extremely excited for, just because we've been waiting for it for such a long time. Plus, Arum will finally stop going on about how great of a fight it is and also because its better that it happens sooner rather than later for Arce. He has had over 60 fights in his career and the majority have been wars. It looks likely that he only has a few "big" fights left in his career and this could be a great opportunity for him.

You can't look past Donaire for the victory but Arce will make it very tough for him. The fight will most likely be televised on HBO and will be paired with the Pacquiao-Marquez IIII repeat.
