Golovkin Vs Pirog likely for August 25th...

It is a great week for the middleweight division! With Felix Sturm Vs Daniel Geale for September 1st and now we have another big middleweight title fight to look foward to. And, that fight is WBO champ Dmitry Pirog against undefeated prospect Gennady Golovkin.
The fight has not been confirmed but there have been many reports stating that the fight is being seriously discussed and almost a done deal.
Both Pirog (20-0, 15 KO's) and Golovkin (23-0, 20 KO's) are undefeated and up-and-coming fighters that are expected to go a long way in the future and this fight will show us just how good they are.
Pirog has held the WBO title since 2010, when he beat Danny Jacobs. Since then he has defended it three times against mostly 'B-class' opponents. Golovkin has also only really been fighting mediocre opponents but the thing with him is just how good he has looked in every fight of his career so far. He also has a fantastic amateur record, with wins over Andre Dirrell and Lucian Bute.
Both men are in their thirties but they are both relatively young in terms of fighting years so neither man will hold anything back as they will want to prove that they are a top fighter at 160lb.
The fight comes at a great time, in terms of publicity as it around the same time as Sturm-Pirog, Chavez Jr-Lee and maybe a fight involving Martinez if they can find a fight for him. The middleweight division is really hotting up and it just adds to a great few months of boxing that we have ahead of us.
