Mayweather could be stripped of WBC Title!

Mayweather Jr with WBC belt.
According to reports, the No.1 Pound-for-pound fighter in the world Floyd Mayweather may have his World title taken away from him by the WBC. There has been rumors that the World Boxing Council is considering stripping Mayweather of his title following his clash with WBA light-middleweight champion Miguel Cotto on May 5th and his jail sentence of 87 days which will start shortly after the fight.

No.1 Welterweight contender
Selcuk Aydin.
Seeing as 'Money' Mayweather is moving up in weight and that he is going to jail, WBC President Jose Sulaiman thinks it is only right that their is a new Welterweight champion.
It has been revealed that Sulaiman has said that the winner of Selcuk Aydin Vs Robert Guerrero on July 28th woill likely be recognized as the new champion.

WBC silver welterweight champion Aydin is undefeated and Guerrero has won world titles in three different weight divisions but they are hardly the two guys that you would put first in line for Mayweather's title.

If it was down to us we would have recent eye-opener Devon Alexander next in line to fight for the title, but unfortunately it's not up to us or the fans. It's up to the WBC and they perhaps think that Alexander's impressive victory over Marcos Maidana wasn't enough to have him as the No.1 contender.

Mayweather is yet to talk out about the situation but it will definitely be very interesting to hear what him and his team have to say.
