This weekend returning
to the ring is Former Light Heavyweight & Cruiserweight Champion of the
world and recent Heavyweight title challenger Thomasz Adamek (36) 48-2-0 29ko’s
VS Dominick Guinn 34-9-1 23ko’s. Polish born Adamek, since moving to Heavyweight
has played it safe with his choice of opposition.
Thomasz adamek’s two
stand out victories since moving up weight division have been VS Chris Arreola
& Eddie Chambers he also fought and beat USS Steve Cunningham at
Heavyweight in his last fight in 2012 and won a very close & disputed
decision having already beat Cunningham at cruiserweight in another close fight
back in 2008, in 2011 he fought and lost a 10th round stoppage vs
Vitali Klitschko for the WBC Heavyweight title since than he has gone 4 fights
unbeaten vs average heavyweight opposition.

Guinn once a “American great hope” who’s most notable losses are VS James
Toney, Eddie Chambers & Tony Thompson, Guinn soon found his level in the
Heavyweight division as a durable fighter who has never been stopped and known
to have losses on his resume to good fighter’s, his most notable wins are VS 2
former world title challenger’s in American Michael Grant & Briatains very
own Olympic Gold Medallist Audley Harrison.
Expect to see a fight
between two fighters who bring it 100% win or lose while Guinn has been on a
bad run of form Adamek has showed major sign’s of deterioration in close fights
with Eddie Chambers and Steve Cunningham who both at Heavyweight have both
“came up short” Everytime they stepped up in level of opposition in the
heavyweight division.I predict a Thomasz Adamek points victory in a slow paced
fight over 10 rounds.
great article mate... your prediction wont be far off id expect pretty much how uv said it. i dont believe either guy has what it takes at the top. i had cunningham ahead against adamek last year... undercard is good aswell. if curtis stevens wins hes knocking on door for a title shot, you can count on 1 hand the fighters in the 160 division game enough to call out GGG respect to showtime.. when you have ko power lik curtis tho it only takes 1 you never know, looking foward to the rest of 13.
ReplyDeleteGood article there. I think Adamek deserves more respect from fight fans for his achievements. Its one thing moving up through the lighter weights but to win world titles at LH& Cruiser and then be competitive at heavyweight earning a title shot deserves respect
