JM Marquez offered $15 million to face Marali!

By Jack Price @PriceyJ97.

According to Mexican legend Juan Manuel Marquez's trainer Nacho Beristain, their team have received a written offer from a rich prince in Dubai. The offer states that if Marquez faces WBF light-welterweight Zolani Marali he will receive an extremely high pay-day of $15 million dollars.

However, promoter Bob Arum has already lined the 39-year old up for a fight in April, and Nacho believes that there is very little possibility of Marquez and his team accepting this offer.

"At a function in Morelia, the president of the WBF (Howard Goldberg), an association that works more in Europe and Africa, was told to tell me that a prince was interested in Juan and sent a written proposal to face Zolani Marali. It has a formal offer of $15 million to fight in Dubai, but Bob Arum and Fernando Beltran have priority," Nacho told Rene Umanzor of The Record.

"I think that is not enough time for Juan to fight because he is usually prepared very well and he knows he can not go into a fight with little preparation, so I do not think that anything will happen on that date."

Marquez currently has the option of two dates and two opponent. April 13th or 20th, and either Vyacheslav Senchenko or Jesse Vargas.
