Moreno to return to 118lb...

Anselmo Moreno has returned home to Panama after losing a unanimous decision to WBC super-bantamweight champion Abner Mares at the weekend. He has also announced that he will be returning to the bantamweight division to defend his WBA title.

Moreno was given special permission by the WBA to move up in weight to fight Mares providing that he faced the mandatory challenger if he chose to move back down.

Sticking to the agreement, Moreno will face the winner of Koki Kameda Vs Hugo Ruiz who will battle it out for the WBA "regular" bantamweight title next month in Osaka. If he wins this fight, Moreno claims that he wants to unify and target the big guys in the division.
