Roach may pay Pacquiao to drop sparring partners!

Even Manny Pacquiao's trainer, Freddie Roach, realises that his fighter does need to sort a lot of things out if he wishes to beat Juan Manuel Marquez in their fourth meeting on December 8th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

One of the most important things that the 'Pacman' has seemed to have lost lately is his power. It seems as they the Filipino hasn't had much venom in his punch since 2009 when he scored a devastating knockout victory over Ricky Hatton.

Pacquiao's last three fights with Marquez have all gone the distance and on December 8th he will begin his 37th round with the Mexican and if you go by the history, it looks like they will be finishing on 48 rounds of hardcore non-stop fighting.

Freddie Roach has even joked about the situation and says that he may even have to offer Pacquiao a little reward for every time he knocks down a fighter in sparring.

"Remember when I was paying a bounty, giving bonuses to sparring partners, if they could knock Manny down?" said Roach. "Well this camp, I will pull a switch. I will offer Manny $1000 out of my own pocket every time he knocks a sparmate on his ass. Maybe that will liven up our training."

Another thing that will be different in this training camp is that they will spend the entire time at the Wild Card Gym instead of starting off in Baguio, something Roach thinks will benefit Pacquiao.
