Mosley becomes full-time trainer!

Mosley Sr                             Mosley Jr.
Three-weight world champion and ring legend 'Sugar' Shane Mosley has retired from fighting but will still be playing a part in the world of boxing. He is becoming a full-time trainer and promoter and his main focus will be his son, Shane Mosley Jr.

Mosley Jr is currently an amateur prospect who has already reached a tremendous amount of success whilst boxing in a vest and headguard. He is now contemplating a move to the professional ranks under the supervision of his father.

40-year old Mosley was never stopped in his long career where he had 56 fights. He was once considered as the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world but that was a long time ago now. His last 'great' performance came against Antonio Margarito in July of 2009. Since then he has been on a huge decline, losing to the likes of Floyd Mayweather Jr, Miguel Cotto and Manny Pacquiao. The last fight of his career was against Mexican prospect Saul Alvarez where 'Sugar' was dominated over 12 rounds.

Mosley is now looking forward to training his son and maybe producing another world champion from the Mosley family.

"I'm going into the promotional world, I'm training my son," said Mosley. "It was a hell of a career. I'm happy for all the great memories and all the great fighters that I fought. Now it's time to give back. I'm ready to train my son full-time now."
